Storage, handling & Installation

Protection beyond production

DO'S

Store indoors and away from open exposure. If kept outside, ensure they are fully protected with waterproof covers.

If not required for immediate use, stack sheets neatly on a raised surface. Maintain a minimum 30 cm clearance between the sheet package and the ground.

Store sheets off the ground with a minimum 50° slope (1:10) so that any water entering the cover drains away and does not accumulate.

Inspect the storage area regularly to ensure no moisture has penetrated the stock.

If stacked or bundled products become wet, separate them immediately, wipe with a clean cloth, and restack to dry thoroughly.

Handle sheets carefully to prevent dents, scratches, or edge damage.

Use a spreader bar when lifting long sheets. For small to medium projects without mechanical handling, unload sheets manually and pass them to the roof one at a time.

Always use personal protective equipment, including clean hand gloves and closed shoes, during handling and lifting.

DON'T

Don't keep heavy material on stacked sheets to avoid damage.

Don't place sheets vertically without proper support.

Don't use metal chains for lifting sheets.

Don't store material on walking paths. Keep sheet movement paths clear and restrict people from entering the path.

Don't keep sheets in direct contact with soil.

Don't allow the surface to get wet.

Don't slide sheets over rough surfaces or over each other. Always carry tools, don’t drag them.

Ridge

Ridging covers the gap between two sheets in a roof’s ridgeline. A roof “ridge” is the uppermost peak where opposing planes meet.

Corner Trim

Used at the end of a run of a sheet to trim and seal off the edge of the roof.

L Flashing

Also referred to as “step flashing”. Installed where your roof and sidewall meet to prevent water penetration.

Valley Gutter

Used at the internal angle of intersection of two roofing sheets or at the slope of the roof and a wall to prevent leakage.

Barge Cap

Barge capping usually refers to flashings that secure the ends of your roof and walls. This is done a waterproofing deterrent.

Crimp Material

Crimping is the process of making a curved profile sheet. It adds to a roof’s aesthetic. Our highly qualified team uses the latest technology to do full or partial crimping depending on your requirements. Crimp accessories are also available.
